A HOME AFTER GOD’S HEART

Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4 AMP

A home after God’s heart is where there is no condemnation but encouragement. We have all been called to encourage one another, and this starts from the home. Condemnation may often lead to provocation; our homes should be filled with positive words that are powerful; they become flesh and begin to manifest with time. With your lips, you can speak either life or death in your home; the choice is yours!

Teach your children to know their identity in Christ; the home where values are taught and encouraged is the one after God’s heart. Praying and reading the bible together on a daily basis is non-negotiable in the home; when you teach a child the way he should go, he will not depart from it when he grows old.

Let Christ be seen in our homes. He is the hope of glory; let our home be a shining light and a perfect example to the unbelievers. Pray and play with one another, speak kind words to one another, and let there be that freedom to open up to one another in the home. I pray the Lord will bless our home and make it an epitome of His beauty. Amen.

Today’s Thought: A home is a place of encouragement and not a place of condemnation. Let’s make it our duty to encourage one another. Where there is no encouragement, a lot of negativity will abound.
